And More Rodeo...Fun On The Farm

This was Lily's first time to experience Fun On The Farm.  This is how it was set up:  We first went through the grain silo.  Next, the hen house where Lily fed the chickens and then was given an "egg" to put in her basket.  Next, the garden where she was given an onion "seed" that she had to plant.  Next, the sheep barn where she was given some wool and saw real sheep.  Next, the dairy barn where she "milked" a cow and was given a milk carton.  Next, the orange orchard where she was given an orange.  Next, we saw Texas crops. Then, we were at the Farmer's Market where she traded all of her goods for money.  And finally, we were at the grocery store.  This is where she bought an apple juice with the money she had earned.  What a fun learning adventure!

More Rodeo...The Petting Zoo

By far, the Petting Zoo was probably Lily's most favorite event of the rodeo.  We bought an ice-cream cone filled with food.  The animals would surround us, wanting us to feed them.  And as you can tell from her smiles, Lily LOVED this!
Lily had this little piggy by the tail.  Poor little piggy!

Our Family Day at the Houston Rodeo

March 19, 2010
We had a great time at the rodeo this year.  The weather was beautiful!  Just wish we could have stayed a little longer.

Girl's Night Out

March 12, 2010
-Angie, Shelly, Kristen, Charlene-
Each year I attend the Houston Rodeo with the same group of girls.  This tradition started 4 years ago.  We always have so much fun!  Angie was the lucky one this year...pregnant...so she was our DD!  Toby Keith was the performer.  Can't wait 'til next year!

Weekend In Ball

We spent this past weekend in Ball visiting my family.  Friday night we ate dinner at Paradise Catfish...which is almost always a must when in town.  After dinner, Anna and the kids came over to visit and play.  Saturday, Mama and I enjoyed some girl time in town.  Billy stayed home with Lily and they kept themselves busy.  They went fishing, played "at the park" and in the yard, fed hay to the horses, explored where the beavers are cutting down trees, took a ride on the RTV and much more.  Saturday night, Ben and his family came over for dinner.  Again, the kids played like cousins!  We left Sunday after lunch.  We had a wonderful weekend!

It's Rodeo Time in Texas!

Thursday, March 4th, was Rodeo Day at Lily's school. We made a special trip to the western store to buy these red boots to go with her red hat. She LOVES them and wants to wear them all the time!

Rodeo lunch consisted of a hot dog and ketchup, corn, beans, carrots and ranch, a biscuit, kool-aide and a large cookie for dessert.  Before eating, all the kids sang I'm a Texas Star.

It Happened Again!

My poor car has been through an awful lot!  Let's see if I can remember what all has happened:
-I backed into a line of shopping carts.
-Billy backed into the garage door.
-The back small window had to be busted out due to my carelessness.
-When living in the rent house on Linwood Oaks, rain water flooded the car.
-I was stopped at a traffic light and was rear ended.
-And again, I was stopping at a traffic light and was rear ended.
-The windshield has been replaced once, and already has another large crack!
But the good news...my car runs very well and is paid off!
